It was turn-back-the-clock day in Skateboard Vert as Bucky Lasek, the oldest man in the field at age 40, beat 38-year-old Sandro Dias to win his first Vert gold medal in a decade. The 36-year-old Bob Burnquist, whose popularity among Brazilians is astounding to see in person. Brazilian skaters did capture three of the five gold medals — and not surprisingly, the three B’s were responsible: Burnquist in Big Air, Barros in Park and Bufoni in Street. In Vert, two more Brazilians, Sandro Dias and Marcelo Bastos, earned silver and bronze medals. Barros and Burnquist are the world’s most dominant skaters in their respective events — and each entered as the defending X Games champion — so their wins were expected.

Scummy- Scummbag Clothing is a lifestyle brand based out of Moorpark, CA. My best friend of like 11 years Mike, has always had my back about starting my company so we partnered up. We sell t-shirts, hats, graphics and more. The idea of the clothing company basically came down to, what do I do next? How do I give back to this sport? In FMX.. this sport is so short due to injury, you can only ride dirt bikes for so long. Thankfully I was able to ride for 12 years. I’ve learned so much throughout my career – I know how the industry works. Why not take everything I’ve learned and instead of making other people money, why not make myself money!

Round 9 – Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series 2013 – St. Louis
The 450 Supercross battle in St. Louis saw Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart fight for the front after a restart, but in the end it was RV who gained the advantage, finishing with his fourth win of the season. Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart finally had the ride he’s been looking for this season, getting a fantastic start off the gate in Atlanta and holding the lead through all 20 laps for his first 450 SX win of the year. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto didn’t give Stewart an inch of breathing room during the contest, but was unable to find a line past, ending the night in second. Rockstar Energy Suzuki’s Davi Millsaps retained a spot on the rostrom through yet another round, taking third.

Round 7 – Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series 2013 – Dallas
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto grabbed his third 450 SX win of the 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season in Dallas. RV beat Rockstar Energy Suzuki’s Davi Millsaps by over three seconds at the checkers, with Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey close behind in third. RV, Millsaps and Two Two Motorsports’ Chad Reed led the way off the start. Millsaps was awarded the holeshot, but Villopoto was quick to move to the front. Once in the lead, the defending Supercross champ was untouchable, building a gap on his closest competition to over seven seconds during the race.

Round 5 – Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series 2013 – Anaheim III
Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey earned his bread at Anaheim 3. In his heat race, a blown rear shock kept him from advancing to the main, so it was off to the Last Chance Qualifier. Once racing got under way in the LCQ, a sizable pile-up pushed Dungey back to seventh and he had to scrape to make the top two, which he did with a final lap pass to earn second-place. Things got much better in the main though, and after a strong start, Dungey was able to get to the lead in the opening laps, holding there until the checkers. Behind Dungey, Rockstar Suzuki’s Davi Millsaps faced intense pressure for the runner-up position, but was able maintain in second to the finish. Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Justin Barcia put an end to his recent string of bad luck, making it to the final step on the podium.

Rest in Peace Caleb Moore
Snowmobile rider Caleb Moore died Thursday morning from injuries suffered in a crash at Winter X Games in Aspen.
In a statement, Moore’s family said: “He will be truly missed and never forgotten. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude for all the prayers and support they have received from all the fans, friends and family around the world that Caleb has inspired.”

Ryan Villopoto scored his second consecutive win after an outstanding victory at Round 4 of the Monster Energy Supercross series in Oakland, California. After securing the Nuclear Cowboyz holeshot, the Kawasaki rider set his sights on the finish line to earn his second win of the season.
